There is no moment where we arrive fully formed or perfect. Growth is an ongoing process of becoming —musically and personally. Our studio focuses on strong musical foundations while also nurturing confidence, identity, and authenticity.

Meet the Director Kyle Owen
As the director of Becoming Light Studio, my teaching is shaped by years of experience as a worship leader, musician, and educator, with a strong focus on vocal/instrumental technique, musicianship, harmony, and performance preparation.
What distinguishes my approach is an emphasis on understanding. Helping students grasp the “why” behind the music so confidence can grow naturally. I believe excellence and encouragement belong together, and that strong foundations create lasting freedom in a student’s musical expression.
The vision for Becoming Light Studio comes from a deep belief that music is not just about performance, but formation. I’ve watched students grow when fear gives way to clarity and support, and when consistent effort is met with patience and care.
The aim is to create a space where students are challenged to grow skillfully while also feeling safe to be fully themselves while learning, over time, to bring their true gifts into the light.
